haha does anybody have anything to share about what happened on stage? like maybe small little stuff that happened which maybe didnt seem to be heard by anybody =S
need not be technical stuff! may be things like how you got the wrong pair of qinzhu[omg]
well for me i remembered when i first play chan2 ge1, i actually had problems lifting up my hands/suona. coz i comfortably sat on my blazer before my parts. so my first note came out weird =S hahaha.
and my junior just can't seem to follow my tai2 feng1. my fault? =S haha i looked like a lunatic while they looked like a rock =SS.

i borrowed my friend's shiny new black sheng for syf but the height of the pipe thing was DAMN short so my leg, in addition of having to support the sheng, had to 'tiptoe' against the chair leg . AND I WAS WEARING COURT SHOES. And throughout the whole of chan ge my leg was seriously shaking/trembling and cramping up >_<

@random: OUCH >.< court shoes >.< I feel your pain.
As for me, laxian SO did not have enough space (during SYF) =\ My gong kept hitting the person beside me and HER gong kept hitting me -_- Not really funny, but throught the songs, i kept shifting to the left so that we would stop hitting each other when playing...and i nearly fell <.< literally from the chair. Not to mention i was moving like a little crazily for the sake of tai feng.
oh and my gong kept getting caught in my sleeve lol XD
Another thing that's really funny was during da zu, we were practicing chan ge and some of us couldn't seem to get the '22' part (the kuai ban) Apparently, when we played, it sounded like 'yi ya' 'er ya' instad of 'pan pan' okay it's hard to describ when typing, but in the end, she started calling us 'ya' (ducks)
So the senoirs became 'lao ya' juniors became 'xiao ya' etc.etcXD for some reason, it was damn funny XD (perhaps it's because i'm not the one being called 'ya') XD

In de 2007 SYF, everyone found out that long sleeves affect yr playing. I remember someone's gong got stuck in his bow and he had to remove his SYF costume afterwards 2 remove de bow. =)

I love the second half...in other words the kuai ban too XD
esp the last part when laxian plays 16 notes per bar..that part is so fun! =D
yup the gong getting caught in long sleeves =\ it isn't very long...it's like...just past elbow length..okay that's quite long XD but it isn't till the wrist!

My cellists' long sleeves had buttons at the end that kept on hitting their cellos whenever they played, haha.
Anyway, my percussion SL grabbed the wrong pair of sticks for our choice piece, argh!

Can, haha they used scotch tape to tape their buttons up, so the sound won't be as loud -.- As for my percussion SL.... haha I really don't know  It's over now anyway! |
