This is more than the total number of GWH in 2007! WOW. But the schools performing today had the most potential of attaining GWH, dunman, cat, HCI and the others...

there seems to be too many GWH this year(11) compared to last year's 5.

Yay...GWH=D Let's just believe that the judges have their reasons for giving 6 gwh in a day..and 11 gwh for all three days.

nanchiau should have got gold. zhong hua should have got gwh...but i am thinking their conductor(the same) arranged the set piece not to the judge likings because their choice piece was very very difficult.

Woodgrove should have got gwh too. Low Cher Yong did brilliantly with his 2 songs.

Everybody was utterly surprised Evergreen got gwh because their half of their choice piece only had huqin and cello playing...

the others gwh was utterly deserving. congrats to all

syf results are sometimes surprising as such. but i think evergreen did well in their choice piece.. and the conductor is indeed very smart and knows the strength of his orchestra (i.e. the strings)

i thought woodgrove should have gotten GWH too... they did well in both their pieces. maybe the judges didn't like the edition of sha di er.

I don't think cat high deserved the gwh. My friend went to watch them yesterday and she said cat high's suona shao pian cracked in the middle of their performance and the suona went totally out of tune. I mean syf is about your performance on stage and how can a sch with such accidents get gwh?

i think all teh schools did qutie well.
The award doesnt really matters.
It's the harwork and effort that has been put into performing that counts.

agree that their choice piece was too difficult . i heard friends that nan chiau & zhonghua played very well but with unexpected result .
Xu YiPing arranged Nan Chiau set piece in a way they stopped before the kuai ban and then continued, i think thats where they lost alot of points. And furthermore, they chose that difficult choice piece, with luo wei lun the composer as judge which meant any error will be hugely magnified as well.

zhong hua played very well but once again i think its xu yiping way of arrangement which didn't match the judge flavours. I think Woodgrove was slightly better than ZhongHua, but both should have got gwh.

I think SAC did really well this year , as like, infront of them were gwh schools, and they still can get a gold, though their some parts wrong here and there. I also heard that nan chiau laughed at them, when they went backstage, and some teacher rolled eyes at them.

haha, i guess the results were retribution to them. No school should laugh at other schools.

hmmm,
i don't think its really fair for you to say that,
cos afterall, i've heard them perform tht day , & personally,i felt tht it was a gold standard.
so i think 'retribution' isnt a good word to put in esp,
when it was just a rumour tht NCHS CO laughed at SAC CO etc.
plus, i think tht you should'nt laugh at other school's
results cos even you, said this,
"No school should laugh at other schools."
so yea,
thts my opinions.
