yay congrats HCCO GWH Cheesy entire hc family get gwh too x) NYCO,HCICO and HCCO Cheesy
they were epic coz our seniors learnt new instruments (although they actually played another) and played it for SYF. for e.g. from liuqin/ruan/xianyue to suona Cheesy played liuqin/ruan/xianyue for one piece and for the other piece, they played the suona. how cool is that Cheesy and they are j1s! which means it was barely 5 months Cheesy
epic Cheesy
although i didn't get to witness it coz of school DD:

HAHAHA. First suona lesson on valentine's day so <three months I KNOW WE ROCK THANK YOU VERY MUCH. Tongue

Unfortunately, you have to get through ME before you do anything to MY (yes I claim ownership over it for now) disuo cos you can't do anything without the shaozi. Wait for me to graduate. Nyeh.

GOOD JOB RVCO! with only 46 members and more than half who are totally new to chinese orchestra, well done, especially when official practices only started in march, practising for almost everyday ever since april, with all the hard work put in, proud of all of them!

an orchestra cannot be defined by two songs (:

i definitely agree with this. i think that they have been very brave to take part in SYF and my heart goes out for them. anyway i believe that they will be on the rise as the junior batches will be able to take part in the JC SYF say, 2 years later. then perhaps there will be an increasing number of JCCO powerhouses by then.
whatever it is, i believe that RVCO has done their best in both the secondary school and the JC SYF.  great job (:  Cheesy

then i must have been mistaken.

there have been meaner comments than mine, and i doubt there'll be less constructive ones than yours, here on this forum.

analyze this statement if you are able to.

What do you think were each JC's strong points in the rendition of their choice pieces? There has been much talk on the GWH schools(of their impressive performances) so I thought maybe we can all analyse each and every team?anyone game? Smiley

Btw,this is not a criticism on any of the schools please dont get the wrong idea.
talk about rendition, interpretation, music structure of the works etc??? Smiley

music critique is a very important aspect of playing music. good and bad comments should be given, as long as they are given with sincerity and goodwill. i just don't like it when people start hinting that they should/should not have deserved this and that, which is what i felt was the case in an earlier comment.

and laiweng, well done with the suona parts.
